Woke up on Saturday morning to a smashed rear window. What a huge mess. Did a quick google search and this business happened to be one of the only places open on the weekend - and as it turned out of the best! Drove straight there without as much as a phone call. The business owner greeted me right away and told me not to worry as he got me covered. Within minutes had my car cleaned up of all the broken glass and had the window covered off with plastic so that I can keep using the car while we wait for the glass to be delivered. Coincidentally there was also some recent damage on the windshield, so I asked him if we can to take care of that as well. Unexpectedly, both the windshield and the rear window were covered by ICBC - I thought this was going to cost me an arm and a leg. Instead it was just the deductible. Anyways, by Tuesday I had brand new glass installed. The work was super clean and high quality - even fixed a number of adjacent but unrelated issues! Always a huge pleasure to get timely service from a great business, but not as much as when in the hour of need. Great business. Will always come back here for body work. 10/10 recommend.
Brought my 4runner in for body restoration/rust repair and then custom paint. For the rust repair, Gil was very thorough in explaining the process for what they would need to do and options on how I could save on time/labour and was very upfront and honest about what they would be taking on by doing a full body restoration with steps to help prevent any future rust. SUPER happy with how the paint turned out. Was given a few samples after narrowing it down and then after a bit more feedback, ended up with a phenomenal colour. Very thorough, got all the little detailing, crevices and door bits. Seriously such a good job Great communication with regular updates on progress and what I could expect. He offered good input and feedback to what I had in mind and really brought my dream of having a purple 4runner to life. Would 100% recommend Glassworks for any body work/paint. They are a smaller shop and I super appreciate them accommodating me and taking on my project
This review is based on my experience only. My car’s windshield got smashed and my husband took my car to this shop to fix it. They ordered it the glass for me and charged me $500, which is my Icbc deductible. Then later on I decided to cancelled my claim and take it somewhere else for a cheaper fix. When I came to the shop to get my refund he seems quite upset which I understand. If they can offer a cheaper fix I can afford I wouldn’t mind doing it here without claiming icbc. He talked about how I shouldn’t the $500 deductible and this is a waste of his time. Well… I do pay the vacuuming job and the plastic($40) and the restocked of the windows ($20) and I m the one who drove here to get refund. I mean, sorry I have to cancel the job based on my budget but you didn’t have to give me the attitude and lecture. I would rather do it at speedy glass, they explained everything and they charged you at the end.
I went here to replace my windshield, and loved their work. Very professional and mindful of the time as well. I forgot the person's name unfortunately. A great job and good service.
Last month, I had a rock chip crack on my 1972 Datsun 240Z windshield and got the ICBC claim done through Glass Works. Gil and his team were fantastic to work with. The old windshield gasket was too old to warrant his work, so I bought a new replica one at my expense, as he advised. The job was completed to perfection. It was not an easy job because this is a 50-year-old car, and getting the old stainless steel trim kit and new windshield to fit perfectly with the replica gasket is tricky. He found several rusted areas once the old glass was lifted and gave me photos to show what needed to be done. He quoted me on the extra labour before he proceeded. He even reverted the old painted black wiper arms from faded black to the original glorious shiny stainless steel for me. The extra rust work and stainless steel wiper arms restoration cost me a couple of hundred plus taxes. He even gave me the old gasket back and told me to sell it online which I may recoup at least $50! Reasonable rates for excellent workmanship.
