The only good thing about getting your window smashed over and over is going to Glass Works. true professionals. went the extra mile to clean up the glass where they could and they even replaced a broken brake light. close to bus stops too which is nice if you have to leave your car. great service, approachable staff, quality repair. this is where to go when your glass gets smashed! thanks guys
Went here earlier to have our windshield assessed for suspected chip damages and the owner was very helpful and took his time in explaining that it was oversprays and not chips. He also explained what could have caused it and how it can be fixed. Will definitely go here if we will need a glass work in the future(hopefully not!). Thank you sir for accomdating us earlier!
During a recent visit to Vancouver, someone decided to liberate items from my vehicle via the rear window. I didn't realize one of the cons to owning a reliable older vehicle is finding parts! But after a friendly call to Gil at Glass Works he quickly tracked down the glass for my 2005 wagon. But, when I showed up to have it installed Murphy's law came into play, and the window wasn't shipped (the yard said it was smashed when he followed up?!?) Gil got more upset with them about this one-day delay than I did lol! This made me feel better because he got upset FOR me. He went above and beyond to quickly find another window, and made sure it was shipped overnight. His great staff also cleaned my trunk and wrapped the window in heavy-duty plastic, which was a huge help with driving and parking with a broken window. Not to mention avoiding cuts (window glass is extremely sharp)! As promised, the next day the glass was installed. They did an impressive job of cleaning, because my trunk was full. And kindly unpacked and repacked to vacuum up the shards. They also swiftly cut the glass out themselves because it was shipped still attached to the previous car's rear hatch. I was incredibly satisfied with the combination of friendly, personable, professional, and effective service. These guys make a stressful situation so much easier to deal with and do a fantastic job! Thanks so much, Glass Works!
Last month, I had a rock chip crack on my 1972 Datsun 240Z windshield and got the ICBC claim done through Glass Works. Gil and his team were fantastic to work with. The old windshield gasket was too old to warrant his work, so I bought a new replica one at my expense, as he advised. The job was completed to perfection. It was not an easy job because this is a 50-year-old car, and getting the old stainless steel trim kit and new windshield to fit perfectly with the replica gasket is tricky. He found several rusted areas once the old glass was lifted and gave me photos to show what needed to be done. He quoted me on the extra labour before he proceeded. He even reverted the old painted black wiper arms from faded black to the original glorious shiny stainless steel for me. The extra rust work and stainless steel wiper arms restoration cost me a couple of hundred plus taxes. He even gave me the old gasket back and told me to sell it online which I may recoup at least $50! Reasonable rates for excellent workmanship.
Really impressed with the job done here, Gil was super helpful, clear, and friendly! I had a paint scratch at the front of my car that went a bit deep, and he fixed it up like it was brand new. It was done quick but efficiently and I would definitely return with any other car needs. I trust him!
