Johan, from Toronto Wiring, did an excellent job with wiring and installing two outside lights and a switch for my garage. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and a very skilled electrician. Of the three companies who quoted for the job, Toronto Wiring was by far the most straightforward and honest in their quoting process. This is directly due to their manager, Tim, who expertly understood my requirements, communicated with me clearly, and provided exactly what I needed. I unreservedly recommend Toronto Wiring, because in my experience, they have proven to be reliable, accomodating, professional, and highly skilled electricians. It was a pleasure dealing with Tim and Johan, and I will definitely continue to use their excellent services for all my electrical needs. Lawrence Pettigrew Vaughan, Ontario
We recently had electrical work done and they were excellent. We had a full electrical panel replaced along with some other emergency electrical work that had to be done. The electrician also pointed out what needed to be fixed on the outside of our home. If you need a Toronto electrician call Tim at Toronto Wiring. They're a pleasure to work with . Highly recommend.
If I could write 0 stars I would. I paid $1300 (quite expensive) for a botched EV Installation and the POS TRIED TO QUOTE ME $500 TO COME BACK AND FIX THEIR WORK. I wouldn't recommend using Tim and his services to plug in a lamp let alone do any electrical work in your home or business. He is a middle man basically. He connects electricians with potential business. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND FIND THE ELECTRICIANS DIRECTLY. Full description below: I had reached out to Tim at Toronto Wiring for the installation of a NEMA 14-50 Outlet with and for an Outdoor Level 2 EV charger. The electrician came and complained about the installation as there was an additional cut needed around the main box in my home. Upon running the wire, I was met with complaints about estimating 20-25ft from the box to location. The electrician was told 20ft from Tim, and luckily brought 27ft. He asked where to put the box and began the outdoor installation. Had the cable out of the charger at completion and asked me to test it that it worked. I plugged my car in and it showed that it was charging. The guy left and I went to plug it back to the base and realized that EV charger was installed on the other side of the plug which meant it was unreachable from my front porch but rather I'd have to climb into a hedge or walk on my neighbour's driveway which is not a long term solution. Upon trying to discuss a solution it led to arguing with both Tim and the Electrician over the phone. The bigger issue I had was that the charger was only producing an output of 1.8KW instead of the estimated 6-9KW. Which meant my car charged 25% over a 21 hr period. I asked them if it were possible that there was an issue with how it was wired and both assured me there was no problem. I reached out to the charging company and they sent me a complete new unit, which I swapped out myself and it had the same issue. I requested them to come back and move the charger and check what is going on. TRIED TO QUOTE ME $500 TO COME BACK AND FIX THEIR WORK. Argued with me every step of the way and completely disregarded the fact the installation was botched, wiring was done incorrectly and the location was not as discussed for an already overly expensive installation. I have a long text thread to prove his utter incompetence and lack of customer service. The electrician eventually reached out to me. Came to my home (on his own time to move the unit and try and trouble shoot it). HE SHOWED ME A TEXT THREAD WHERE TIM BASCIALLY THREATENED HIM AND USED PHRASING LIKE "THAT'S NOT HOW IT'S DONE IN THIS COUNTRY ETC". The electrician explained how he is just a sub contractor for Tim and no longer works with him due to awful work practices and conditions. He worked on the electrical issues on his own time. Eventually we discussed removing the work entirely and I'd start fresh with another electrician. He suggested I get my money back from Tim which didn't go over well as once again I was met with attitude and a person who clearly doesn't care about customer service. We left the cable in eventually and I had another electrician take a look and all it was was a crossed wire in the outlet box. A SIMPLE 5 MINUTE FIX AND A 2 SCREWS TO RELOCATE THE CHARGER. ALL OF THIS BACK AND FORTH THIS. NO REFUND, NO APOLOGY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I called around looking for quotes from several electrical company’s in Toronto. I went with Tim and Toronto Wiring because they had the most competitive pricing, Tim was also the most responsive to my questions and emails, and the technician he sent over was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I needed an outlet installed on a wall that had no outlets and no power to it that sat between to staircases. Tim’s technician did everything we had asked, was time efficient, and cleaned up the space afterward. Tim charged us exactly what he quoted me. The service from start to finish was exceptional and we appreciated all the answers to our questions. Will definitely use Toronto Wiring for future projects!
I was very hesitant to search Google for an electrician to move some outlets to allow our home renovation to move forward. Tim was absolutely fantastic. The only one to ask for photo's to properly quote the work. The cost was great (mid range from all the quotes we received). Tim was very responsive and proactively contacted me when electrician was running behind schedule. Work was done quickly, cleanly and above my expectation. Highly recommend Toronto Wiring, have already given the contact info to other people.
