Zero stars if possible. I’ll edit to make this clearer based on response. Deposit $220 was 100% charged twice. Owner chose not to view/assess contents. Guys said he should have. They admitted to our buyer they came unprepared. One commented about the owner being in over his head. Not my words. One mover was brand new and unhelpful to the others. They loaded in a hodgepodge way - not Tetris style as owner said they would. Things were broken (1 valuable). They didn’t know how to take the legs off a table, how to unhook fridge water, open a French entry door (they were about to remove a door to get the couch in)or disassemble a weight machine. Our house video wasn’t staged. That was our stuff including full view of utility room & not all made the cut including some large items.The guys were slow/disorganized & not told of same day move. They said back up can be called but chose not to since move was 5kms. They told me we’re on tack at 1 pm when I showed concern. They kept going back to the old house until 1130 at night and still left behind a bbq, 20' ladder, propane firepit, garage trash can, fridge (only appliance to move) & dehumidifier. New owners told their lawyer the late intrusion was without their permission. The lawyer notified us anything else remaining past closing was to be forfeited. Bartley accepted no responsibility for any of this. He was dismissive saying "you had a lot of stuff." I was honest in conveying how much we had since I was concerned about the same day close. It defies logic to imply I tried to conceal this. We helped with a rental U-Haul and still Bartley's couldn't handle this move. Our highly experienced realtor couldn’t believe how this went and she had spent a ton of time in our house seeing the volume, reassuring me that movers are fast and can get it done. Our stuff was dumped in a complete heap in our new garage and we had nothing but mattresses inside to sleep on. We had to get another company asap to move us inside and MOVING THE FOLK were AMAZING. They hustled, communicated well and knew how to take apart a small sauna and bow flex then reassemble. They bailed us out! Bartley's left behind our motion bed plug, lost our reclining sofa cord, crushed the electric chair cord so it wouldn’t work anymore. In total our move across town for a well packed/labelled household of 4 people ended up costing over $5,000 and took days and the help of another moving company while infuriating our buyers who took it out on us. We've never had or seen a move go this badly. I can give praise to Moving the Folk, Friendly City Movers, Bigham’s and Oxford Movers, all from direct experience. This time we paid $3370 to Bartley’s which exceeded other quotes (from those without our date available) including Oxford Movers whereby he said 1.5 trucks and came to the house to detail contents. This would be without us renting a U-Haul. We missed out on them. This exceeds all other quotes. We paid $500 to the buyers lawyer for breaking closing, paid $800 to moving the folk & rented a U-Haul = over $5g. Last time we moved from a 2 story in Woodstock to a bungalow in Tillsonburg (as a family of 6 then) by 3pm and were told how they appreciated our high level of organization. The guys were simply too slow and the next movers really highlighted that. Clearly a family move taking that long isn’t the norm. It’s ridiculous actually. It was botched and we paid for that.
We used this service to move, very punctual, friendly and quick, no damage and a good price. Would absolutely recommend this company to anyone. Awesome job to our 3 movers, Great job well done.

These were the best movers my family and I have ever dealt with (and we've moved over 6 times). They were friendly, courteous, and highly professional. They were careful throughout my home to avoid any dirt or damages while still working quickly and efficiently. I'd highly recommend them, and if I ever have to move again in the future, they'll be the first ones I call.
Unreal these fellas. Very nice and polite when came in. Gave me notice before they arrived. We’re careful but quick and diligent. Put my furniture together no problem. Even took out my old furniture and moved to the garage for me. Great service. Highly recommend
