DO NOT CALL THEM!!!!!! They sent 3 movers when they quoted me for 4 but charged me for 4 AND charged my credit card $300 extra with no receipt or conversation of how much they would be charging. I still don’t have a receipt of the charge. I reached out and they said they would look into this and get back to me as soon as possible. I haven’t heard back from with dispute multiple texts, phone calls… no one will answer the phone number that they’ve listed on their website. They over charged me by almost $500 and then ghosted me. I’ve had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. Edit: I will edit this review as there has been updates. After dozens of phone calls, emails, etc. I finally got a call back from a company. It was a different company than Metropolitan Movers. They sub-contracted to Secure Movers. The man I spoke to did not understand why I was so angry about being ghosted for a week with no receipt or any communication and being over-charged several hundred dollars. After a very lengthy discussion, he said he would refund me some money but was still adding extra charges when it is clearly stated on the quote, "No extra charges, no fuel charges". He charged me for fuel and insurance when insurance is optional for the customer and I did not want it. I then sent an email laying out the amount that I should have been charged and that I would expect a refund for the amount that I was overcharged. He responded back that my breakdown was wrong because the movers were there for 4 hours instead of 3. The movers showed up at one end at 8:30 and were gone from my house by 11:30, which means that they would be charging me for the commute back. Again, in the quote, it is clearly stated that they charge when they arrive at the first address to when they leave at the second address. After my dispute back surrounding the hours, he did not respond. I ended up having to email again with no response and finally call. Weeks of back and forth, I was refunded the money that was over charged. The company is now trying to ask me to take down the review because they did me the favour of refunding the money. I continue to make it clear that it was not a favour but, in fact, that money that I should never had paid.

I hired Metropolitan Movers to move from my condo to a 2 storey house heritage house with many stairs. The 3 young men worked diligently and efficiently, getting my move done with time to spare. They were pleasant and professional, taking care to protect my furniture. I would definitely hire them again if needed.

The best movers! The team from Metro movers was very professional, quiet and kind. They wrapped everything meticulously. They were efficient and quick. We had very heavy items and they moved them up four flights of stairs. I would highly recommend them.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. 0/5 stars. In a nutshell, this is the worst customer experience/service I have ever received in my entire life from the moment the movers arrived, to dealing with customer service to the lack of upper management getting involved at my request post-move after a horrendous experience. A strong word to the CEO/President and CFO of this company- What you advertise on your website is not what I received. A third party company was outsourced for this job (Secure Moving Ltd) and unprofessional, young boys were sent to my condo for a move that was conducted terribly. Nothing wrapped and/or secured. My items all over the place.TV not wrapped in blankets as your website states. Terrible time management and organization. Movers were more than 1 hour late and even asked me to reschedule the move?! When I was on the phone during the move to your customer service department, the head lead told me I should just hang up and help move to get it done more quickly. Unimaginable. I have more than 15+ photos showing what a nightmare this was. Dealing with the dispute of charges post move was even worse. After many back and forth emails with customer service and requesting on several occasions for someone in upper management to contact me to discuss and resolve the service right away, they neglected to do so. I can assure you I am looking into small claims court and consumer advocates/consumer matters with the media. PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
