I was experiencing issues with my boiler, so I called Belyea Bros. Heating & Cooling. The Service Consultant that I initially spoke to, Richard, was polite and honest, and was very helpful in coordinating my repair. The Service Technicians, Deo and Clark, were punctual and courteous. They were able to diagnose and repair the issue. Belyea Bros. provides excellent customer service. I highly recommend them.
We are extremely pleased with the work. It was done professionally, neatly, and efficiently over only two days! William and Carter are very courteous, organized, and great at their jobs. They made a mess of old iron pipes into a tidy and slim package.
Contracted with Belyea Brothers to replace boiler that provides both space heating and domestic hot water (DHW) after old boiler failed. Zahid came to diagnose the problem and referred us to David Graeme, president of Belyea Brothers, who provided detailed estimate with firm price. Wilson and Carter came before 9 am on Tuesday August 6 to perform the work, which was completed midday Wednesday August 7. They are skilled hard workers and completed removal of old boiler, installed new boiler, and changed plumbing, gas supply, and wiring as required to accommodate different geometry of new boiler. Also replaced old expansion tank, which was too small, and had become waterlogged due to failure of internal membrane. Work performed promptly and entirely satisfactorily. Thoroughly tested both space heating (even though it was a warm day) and DHW, and explained operation of system. Removed old equipment and cleaned up. New plumbing in gleaming copper is a work of art (photo attached). We highly recommend Belyea Brothers, who indeed do excellent work on older Toronto homes like ours, which was built in 1936.
We have been a customer of Belyea for many years now and find them.to be a very professional and capable company and I have recommended them to family and friends. In particular their electrical division, which is so well lead by Demetri, have installed many systems with precise detail in our home and we are more efficient because of their expertise. They are punctual, professional and respectful of us as the customer. If ever there is an issue they respond and correct. Their standards are high, which benefits the customer every time. Most recently we had Raj install a new switch and timer in our pump house for our waterfalls and pond and he performed the desk with success!
UPDATED APRIL 2024: My 30 year old Lennox Conservator cast iron boiler was failing to reignite almost daily for about 2 weeks. Jon from Belyea Bros visited very quickly on two occasions after I called. He attempted to fix the issue with available parts as the original part had been discontinued. Unfortunately it didn’t work so I ordered a new boiler from Belyea. They were able to schedule the instal of the new boiler very quickly. They offered two quality boilers, a NTI or Veissman brand model. I went with the NTI model. Andrew and Ian attended on time and worked hard all day. It was more work as my old boiler was a freestanding unit that vented with my hot water tank up the chimney. The new unit hangs on the wall, is high efficiency therefore vents through the wall via a PVC rigid pipe. As a result, many of the original cast iron gas supply lines and copper water supply lines had to be re-routed. A day after installation there was a minor issue with no heat. I say minor because end of March was warmer than usual and the error that occurred as a result of the instal was minor and easily fixed with an adjustment by the very skilled and knowledgeable Anthony. In every business, there are mistakes done at times or faulty parts installed or supplied BUT it is how the company deals with warranty and after sales issues is what makes Belyea Bros excellent. Every time I spoke to Elaine over the years, either to make my annual air conditioning and boiler maintenance appointments along with advising of this no heat issue, she is always kind, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. And with this no heat issue, the after hours call-taker, Elaine and staff of Belyea Bros made it a high priority to get it rectified very very quickly. They offered to come out so quickly that I had to ask them not to as I already had plans that day and I could wait an extra day or so due to the milder than normal weather. ORIGINAL REVIEW IN 2019: About 3-4 weeks ago I decided to give Belyea Bros a call to look at an ongoing issue I had with my split type air conditioner I had installed about 6 years ago from another company. Belyea Bros came highly recommended from others including my in-laws who have been using Belyea Bros, I believe for decades. I spoke to the service manager Jason and relayed the issue I had been experiencing for about 5-6 years. He spent time with me explaining my options which I really appreciated. About a week later, Julio arrived and did a very thorough inspection and testing of my 3 air conditioner head units and the exterior unit. He also did a basic cleaning of the indoor units and exterior unit and reported that I needed a more thorough cleaning of 2 of the 3 indoor units which I knew would be the case. He showed me the extensive build up of dust on the blower wheels and the black spatter of wet dust on the interior of the cabinet behind the blower wheel. I had always thought this was mold but upon Julio's closer inspection, this was dust that had flung off the blower wheel as it spun. As a partial dismantling of the 2 units would be required, an appointment was made to have the 2 units more throughly cleaned. Yesterday Dylan and Julio returned and as my first visit with Julio, Dylan was also very kind, knowledgeable and professional. The units were cleaned thoroughly and they look almost new! They are very accommodating with questions, providing me with clear answers and tips. They could not have been any better! By the way, wearing the booties to cover their footwear while in the house was a nice touch. Thanks Dylan, Julio and Belyea Bros.
