Take a bow, Six Moving! Hands down the best movers in Toronto. I will be looking nowhere else ever for moving services. FOR ADMINISTRATION: A very smooth and confidence inducing experience booking with them - everyone else involved was attentive and patient with my queries. On point assessment of the amount of stuff that needed to be moved and the amount of time it would take. Timely e-mails and communication. I had upfront asked for a 12-noon arrival of the movers, but the team very professionally advised that I need not start that early and suggested we start 30 minutes late. This worked perfectly. Lot of empathy! My plants were important to me and the team gave me confidence that they will do their best moving them. Most moving companies brush this off - I went with Six Moving because of their high empathy and customer service right from day one. FOR THE MOVERS: They were timely, professional, polite and efficient! All my furniture was wrapped and delivered perfectly - absolutely no damages. I did not have to keep track of every last box - they took stock of everything allowing me to focus on other tasks that I had on hand. This team work allowed us to adhere to the booked elevator timings at both buildings. The building I was moving out of did not have the best security & management team - there were delays in handing over the elevator, opening of doors etc. But the movers were patient and worked with me until I resolved the issue with the management. My plants were handled with extra care and not a leaf was lost in such a long move - kudos team! 🙂 No time was wasted - they were intentional with wrapping up as fast as they could.
We used this moving company in late November 2024, and it was a frustrating experience. Despite informing them in advance about the amount of work involved, they sent only two movers, which delayed the process significantly. The move was just from one floor to another, but it took much longer than expected. Additionally, they brought a large truck and hadn’t planned parking ahead of time. They spent the first hour looking for a parking spot, during which I was charged $240 for no actual work done. Poor preparation on their part added unnecessary stress to the process. The movers themselves were careful with our items, so no complaints there. However, the office staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When there was a minor payment mistake on my side, I requested a simple correction, but they outright refused. After countless calls and delays, they abruptly informed me it wasn’t possible without any explanation or effort to resolve the issue. If you value a smooth and efficient moving experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this company. The movers were decent, but the disorganized and dismissive approach of the staff made the whole process unnecessarily painful.
5 stars! We had an excellent experience with Six Moving. Everyone we dealt with was professional, friendly, and made our move so much less stressful. The estimate was fair and accurate, with no hidden fees, which we really appreciated. Our move wasn’t easy—there were a lot of stairs involved, and we were moving into a townhouse with multiple levels—but our movers, Rudy and Chris, made it look effortless! They worked efficiently and took extra care to protect our furniture and belongings without hesitation. Thank you, Six Moving, for making our challenging move so smooth. My friend used the company few years back and she loved it, so I signed up for their moving service, I have to say that all went well. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and competent. They really want to help. Starting from the back office Zara who tried hard to fully understand my needs, to packers Olga and her team, to the movers James, Chris and Jeff they all did their work well. Because my corporate management background, I think this must be a really good company who has a good culture so that to attract the good people to work with who in turn create happy customers.
