We had a great experience with Rainforest Moving! It was easy to make arrangements with James via phone and email. Jordan and Edward helped us on the day of the move, and they were both careful with our things and got our move done in under four hours. They were also really easy to work with, which made for an overall positive experience. Would recommend!
From the initial in-home consultation to the actual move, I was very impressed with this moving company. James was straightforward and detailed during the consultation and I knew exactly what to expect. If I ever had any questions, he was happy to answer them. Moving day went so smoothly due to the fantastic team we were provided! Moving isn’t a fun experience but James and his team made it so much easier for us!
We had a wonderful experience with Rainforest Moving! We got a quote from the owner and then the final cost was aligned with that quote. Our movers were Ultan and Ted/Tad (apologies for spelling) and they were awesome. They were very friendly and took the time to wrap everything super carefully, laid down red carpets in our new home to avoid bringing in dirt from outside, and had great attitudes which made a huge difference. We gave them their money's worth with all of the stairs in our new place. In addition to moving furniture over from our previous home, we had them also bring up heavy items we'd been storing in our garage in the new home, as well as move our washer and dryer. They did this without any complaints and were so careful and thoughtful about not hitting our newly painted walls and ceilings. Even when we weren't in the same rooms as them, we could hear them discussing amongst themselves how best to move heavy items without scratching the floor, etc. which shows a really good sense of responsibility and character. Can't say enough great things about our movers! We'd happily hire Rainforest Moving again :)
We moved today using Rainforest Moving & Storage with Ryan and two other guys (sorry I don’t remember your names). For someone who has moved within the city a few times, I gotta say this has to have been the smoothest and most straightforward move I’ve ever experienced! Everyone was so friendly and efficient and at no point, we felt like we had packed improperly or prepared poorly. This is entirely due to the team being able to work with as little or as much as you throw at them. Moving to a new place can be scary, but let me tell you, Rainforest and their teams are actually there to make your life easier. Tonight I’m sleeping in my (“new”) bed knowing everything is moved, everything is in one piece and I can focus on unpacking. Thank you for your hard work and I will recommend this to anyone who needs to move. Alex & Lennart
*UPDATE FOR REPLY FROM RAINFOREST MOVING* Not sure how you "lost or not recorded" a voicemail or "don't have any record of me calling. I know this isn't in any shape or form truthful since we played phone tag twice on the first day I called. After two consecutive missed calls from both our ends, that's when I decided to leave the voicemail sharing what I discussed with your movers about all the damage that occurred to my property. After I left that voicemail is also when you decided to go radio silent on me and have not contacted me since. I honestly don't understand the WHY behind this all. I get that it ultimately comes down to money for you, but I didn't even ask for anything other than to discuss the damages you made to my property and work with you to finding an agreeable solution. The straight up lie of a reply you made doesn't bring me any confidence that your company will act with any type of ethics. Again, this isn't an opinion. I have the receipts of you clearly knowing I called and you went completely dark after I left a voicemail explaining why I'm calling. That's frankly a terrible look and I would advise anyone reading this to think very carefully about choosing to work with a company that behaves like this. ~~~~~ The only positive aspect of our move with Rainforest was how friendly the movers were, but I think everyone would agree we're not paying for a friendly chat. What we want in a moving company is efficient and professional movers. This simply was not our experience with Rainforest Moving and Storage. I think it’s reasonable to expect SOME minor scrapes to a wall, but what's NOT reasonable is multiple larger scrapes and broken items. Most importantly, avoiding a paying customer for bringing this up after the move. The movers themselves brought up the more egregious damages they made to our home during the move. We appreciated that they took ownership of this at the time, but we didn't know we would simply be ghosted by this company after we attempted to call multiple times as well as leaving a voicemail detailing the issues. Not only is there damage beyond what any person would consider reasonable, they also broke one of my computer monitors during the move which was perfectly functional literally the morning of the move before it was put into a box for transport. A simple message or even a voicemail in reply would have been immensely appreciated. At no point did I lead with any demands or expectations. I simply asked for a call back to discuss the damages done to our home and belongings. It’s been two weeks and I'm getting the picture that there likely isn't any interest to do right by a paying customer. Really disappointed at how this all ended since I had high hopes about this company as I'm sure many of you do based on existing reviews. Hard to recommend a company that treats its customers this way.
